TheTradeFolks is a brand owned and operated by Schaltworks LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Schaltworks LLC," "we," "us," or "our"). We respect your privacy and want you to know why we collect your Personal Information and what we do with it. This Privacy Policy applies to information that identifies you as a person ("Personal Information") that we collect through the TheTradeFolks website (the "Website") and offline.
"You" means you as a user of the Website. By accessing the Website, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by its terms, our Terms of Use, and any other policies we post. If at any time you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website or provide us with any Personal Information.
We reserve the right to change or update this Privacy Policy by posting changes to the Website. Amendments will be effective when posted. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
1. Information We Collect
We collect Personal Information in three ways. First, we collect information you provide to us directly. Second, we collect Automated Information when you use our Website. Third, we may collect Personal Information from public sources or third parties who provide it to us in compliance with applicable laws.
We will only collect Personal Information that is reasonably necessary in relation to the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
If you are a Homeowner requesting a quote, we typically collect:
- Contact details: name, email, phone number, ZIP code, and home address;
- Project details: trade type, project description, timeline, insurance status, and other answers in our quote request form;
- Verification information: a one-time text message verification code we send to your phone to confirm your request is real.
You provide this information when you fill out our quote request form, sign up for our email list, send us an email or other communication, or participate in surveys or promotions.
1.2 Automated Information
We also collect information through automated means such as cookies and similar technologies, including:
- The IP address of the device you use to connect to the internet (which may include geographic location information);
- Unique identifiers of your device;
- Your browser characteristics;
- Your device characteristics and operating system;
- Your language preferences;
- The websites you visited before coming to our Website or through which you were referred;
- Information on actions taken by you on our Website;
- The dates, times, and pages of your visits.

- Fulfill your quote request and connect you with one professional in our vetted network;
- Send you confirmation and status updates about your request;
- Verify your phone number to confirm your request is real;
- Communicate with you about your project, our service, or topics that may be of interest;
- Personalize your experience on the Website;
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious or fraudulent activity, and prosecute those responsible for such activities;
- Comply with legal or regulatory obligations;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our Website and Service.
3. Categories of Third Parties We Share With
We share your Personal Information only as set forth below.
3.1 Contractors
If you submit a quote request, we will share your Personal Information with one Contractor in our vetted network selected for your specific project. That Contractor will contact you directly using the email and/or phone number you provided. If you no longer wish to be contacted, please inform the Contractor directly. Once we connect you with a Contractor, we have no control over how they use your Personal Information after the introduction.
3.2 Service Providers
We may disclose your Personal Information to outside companies that help us operate the Website, deliver the Service, send marketing emails, process payments, host data, prevent fraud, or provide analytics. These providers are bound by confidentiality and may only use your information for the purposes we instruct.
3.3 Investors and Business Transactions
If we seek investors or undergo a business transition (such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), your Personal Information may be shared as part of the transaction.
3.4 Law Enforcement and Legal Purposes
We may disclose your Personal Information when legally required to do so, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, to cooperate with law enforcement investigations, to protect against misuse of the Website, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
4. SMS and Phone Communication Consent (TCPA)
By submitting your phone number through our quote request form, you expressly consent to receive a one-time verification text message from TheTradeFolks and follow-up communications by phone, text message, or email from the Contractor we match you with regarding your project. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us directly.
Per FCC regulation 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200(c)(1), telephone solicitations to residential phone subscribers may not occur before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. local time at the called party's location.
5. De-Identified, Anonymized, and Aggregate Data
We may generate and use de-identified, anonymized, or aggregate data for various purposes. Such data cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We will maintain and use this data only in a de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as permitted by applicable law. We may share this data with others without notice to or consent from you.
6. Targeted Advertising and Remarketing
You may see advertisements for our Service on other websites and mobile applications because we work with third-party advertising partners to engage in remarketing and retargeting activities. These partners track your online activities over time and across websites by collecting information through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies. They use this information to show you advertisements that may be tailored to your interests.

9. Your Choices About Promotional Emails
If you do not wish to receive promotional emails, you may opt out by clicking the "unsubscribe" link found in any of our emails. Please allow up to ten (10) business days for changes to take effect. Opting out of promotional emails will not affect your receipt of service-related communications, such as quote confirmations or important account notices.
10. Other Websites
The Website may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us. This does not mean we endorse those websites. We have no control over and are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or operations of any third-party websites. If you provide Personal Information to a third-party website, you are subject to that website's privacy policy, not ours.
11. Data Retention and Security
We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect the Personal Information we collect, including limiting access to authorized personnel and using electronic security measures.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee that information will not be intercepted by third parties, and we will not be liable for any breach resulting from causes beyond our control, including hacking, sabotage, or third-party data security failures.

18. Privacy Notice for California Residents
The following section applies only if you are a California resident.
The California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA") provides California consumers with specific rights regarding their Personal Information. This notice describes those rights and how to exercise them.
18.1 Your Rights
Right to Know. You have the right to request that we disclose, for the past 12 months: the categories of Personal Information we collected about you; the sources we collected it from; the business or commercial purposes for collecting, sharing, or selling it; the categories of third parties we disclosed it to; and the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected.
Right to Delete. You have the right to request that we delete any of your Personal Information that we collected and retained, subject to certain exceptions (including completing a transaction you requested, security and integrity of our systems, debugging, complying with legal obligations, and other purposes permitted by the CPRA).

18.2 How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise your right to know, delete, or correct, submit a verifiable consumer request by emailing privacy@thetradefolks.com or completing the form on our Do Not Sell or Share My Information page.
Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request. You may also make a request on behalf of your minor child. You may make a request for access or to know twice within a 12-month period.
The verifiable consumer request must:
- Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information;
- Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond.
We cannot respond to your request if we cannot verify your identity. We will only use Personal Information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor's identity.
18.3 Response Timing
We will confirm receipt of your verifiable consumer request within ten (10) business days. We will respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. Any disclosures we provide will cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. We do not charge a fee unless your request is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.
18.4 Categories of Personal Information We Collect from California Consumers
In the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information from California consumers:
- Identifiers: real name, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address, and online identifiers. Source: directly from you and automatically via cookies/pixels.
- Internet or similar network activity: browsing history on our Website, interactions with our Website and online advertisements. Source: automatically via cookies/pixels.
- Inferences drawn from other Personal Information: profiles reflecting your preferences, characteristics, and likely interests. Source: automatically and from third-party data providers.
We use these categories to provide our Service, ensure security, perform analytics, deliver advertising and marketing, and advance our commercial interests. We share these categories with: affiliates, service providers (analytics, hosting, email, fraud prevention), advertising networks, and the Contractor we match you with. We retain this information indefinitely unless you request deletion or it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected.
18.5 Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold any Personal Information for monetary consideration. We do, however, share information for commercial purposes by working with advertising partners to deliver advertisements across the internet. We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of minors under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization.
18.6 Shine the Light (California Civil Code §§ 1798.83-1798.84)
California residents may request, once per calendar year, a notice identifying the categories of Personal Information we share with third parties or corporate affiliates for those parties' direct marketing purposes, along with the names and addresses of the recipients. To request this notice, email privacy@thetradefolks.com with the subject line "CALIFORNIA PRIVACY" and include "Your California Privacy Rights" in the body, the name of our website, and your name, street address, city, state, and ZIP code.
18.7 Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. We honor DNT signals to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18.8 Grievances and Complaints
